Do you like to make power rangers rpm theme with your voice on it ?
I did not do that theme. My voice is not on it.
Did you listen to that original theme ?
RPM? Yes I've heard it. It's very good.

1. What was it like to be apart of the Power Rangers Behind The Scenes?
It was GREAT! We had the biggest show in the U.S. and everyone knew about it. The music was also getting almost as much attention as the actors were so I was very happy.
2. What was your favorite part of writing and performing the music for Power Rangers?
That there was no interference from anyone. I could just write songs or do the score as I saw fit.
3. In light of the recent rumors, what is your opinion on the possibility that Disney may be cancelling PR after RPM?
I thought it was absolutely cancelled after RPM. I think it's time for the show to retire. It's been running 17 years or so. That's enough.
4. Will you join and Post at Power Ranger Empire .com?
I'm not sure. Between all the TV stuff I do now and my band Fisher I spend a fair amount of time every day posting and/or answering emails. I don't want to spread myself out too thin.

1. Have you made scores for other shows/movies/projects, If so could you name a few?
Yes. Quite a bit of stuff. Instead of listing things here, could you please go to,
http://www.ronw.comThere is a list of stuff I've worked on or are working on now.
2. What made you choose to write music for Power Rangers?
I was starting to do most of the music at Saban Entertainment so when they came to me with this show, it was part of my responsibility to write something for it. After I did the original MMPR theme though, it was nothing but fun to work on the show every single day.
3. What type of music is your favorite genre (i.e. Rock, Rap, Hip-Hop, Classical, Instrumental, etc.)?
It's very diverse so I'll tell you what I don't care for. Opera, Country and any new age meditation keyboard stuff. LOL!
4. What experiences have you gained from your working with the Power Rangers series?
How to write for television. The deadlines and demands are very difficult and that show taught me how to work quickly.

Questions Submitted by DarkRanger99
1. How did you get involved with Power Rangers in the first place?
Again I was at Saban Entertainment and they came to me with the show in late 1992 and asked me to write a theme initially.
2. Was Power Rangers the first show you got your musical start in or were there others before?
I had done some very small shows so really, you could say that PR was my first 'real' show.
3. Hypothetically, let's say Power Rangers continues in 2010 with the Samurai theme. Would you consider it a challenge to make a theme song for such a Japanese-oriented motif? Would you even make one if offered?
I would do it in a second! And yes it would be hard to incorporate a Japanese motif into a rock thing but it might actually be a lot of fun finding a cool way to blend the two worlds.
4. Were you ever asked to do an insert song for S.P.D.? If not, did you ever ask to have one put in the show just like in the older seasons?
The theme for SPD is as far as they wanted to go with me.

They already had the score and other composers signed on.

Questions Submitted by Vamparanger
1.What is your favourite song you have ever done for power rangers?
We Need A Hero. Sad and powerful.
2.Are you friend with any actors of power rangers or vr troopers?
No. It is very common for the actors to never hang with the production people although I did see Paul (Bulk) a few weeks ago and we spent the whole evening laughing our ****** off.
3.What inspired you to make the themes of the shows?
A real desire to show some respect for kids and give 'em real music instead of cute little safe junk. Kids are a lot brighter and mature then most of society gives them credit for.
4.Are you satisfied with your carreer?
Yes. I truly have a sweet life. A great wife, an amazing boy (5 years old) and enough work to keep my head well above water. I feel needed professionally and that is as good as it gets.

1) This question will do very little for the collective fandom, but I just really want to know if you have any sheet music for anything you wrote for PR and if you could make it available for us?
I don't believe Saban ever did any sheet music and because they own the rights, I am not allowed to create any. Stupid legal stuff.
2) What were you normally given by the people in charge to help you find the right direction for the music and for your lyrics? Just a season theme or synopsis or an actual text or nothing much?
That was up to me. They'd say "write a song (or another song) for the action scenes." That was pretty much it. Which was GREAT instead of them giving me too much direction.
3) What was the most challenging track or theme to write and why?
You know it's been quite a while but I seem to remember the first song, "Fight" being the hardest because to be honest, I'm really not much of a singer and I had to kind of find my voice and figure what guitars sounds etc., worked well. After that is was pretty easy as I've been writing (this really is true) since I was 5 years old so coming up with a melody is very simple for me. It's all the production work that takes forever.
4) Which theme or track are you the proudest of in retrospect?
The original MMPR theme in it's long form. There really was some magic there and it's always brought a smile to my face and gets my adrenaline pumping.

What was your inspirsation for the Power Rangers In Space theme? That song was unique compared to all the other seasons' themes prior to it.
IMHO I think that one was done rather quickly. I believe I had left Saban but came back for that one. The pressure I was feeling as well as total exhaustion from 6 years of work without any real time off shows in the style. Perhaps I was not so in love with the Power Ranger project at that time.
Are you usually satisfied with the footage used in the opening credits? Do you think they complement your music well?
No. I am never happy with the openings of the shows. But I bet nearly every composer you'd ask that question to would feel the same way. With PR it seemed the music was move alive then the picture editing...it was not a perfect marriage although PR was better than some of the other shows I've done.

What is your stance on file sharing and people using your music in various multimedia projects as a tribute to you?
I have always felt that file sharing is okay because it brings new people into your world. Plus, after years of the big record companies being terribly greedy they are getting what they deserve.
For example in 1999 I put up some Fisher songs on mp3.com to see what would happen. a LOT of people thought I was crazy to allow people to download our stuff for free but I had a feeling it was a great way to promote the project. Because I did that, it lead to a substantial label deal (which we left in 2001) but Fisher has generated a really substantial amount of income. So apparently file sharing does not destroy careers but actually enhances them. I've just never been a greedy type.
